Directorate for European Integration in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Treasury organised a two-day workshop ''Use of the manual on internal procedures to meet the criteria for accreditation of Decentralised Implementation System system (DIS)". The purpose of the workshop was that the key issues related to transfer of managing IPA funds, from the Delegation of the European Commission to the  BiH institutions, are approached professionally and on the basis of concrete information, which will lead to better informed structures.

Zara Halilović (Sector for Coordination of EU aid, DEI), and Vera Letica (CFCU) in the opening speech welcomed the joint action of all participants from Operational structure, stressing the need for further capacity building which will be subject to accreditation for the DIS.

It is once again emphasized that Operational structure of the DIS system is unique, and that all institutions involved (National IPA Coordinator, the Senior Programme Officers, and Central  Financing and Contracting Unit) represent important part of this system and are actively involved in its functioning.

The practical use of the internal procedures manual to specific tasks, defined the challenges in the process of institutional capacity building, and specified guidelines for the improvement of the existing capacity of the SPO's for the purpose of fulfilling conditions for DIS accreditation of entire Operational structure.
